I was not satisfied with the available armrests offered for my TR3. I decided to make my own. Check it out:

Definitely looks a lot nicer than the shorter plastic one. I bought one of the plastic ones and returned it, which brings me to a question: I returned the plastic one because, once installed, I realized that I use the center tunnel to push off of when exiting the car. The plastic one didn't feel like it could support my weight. It yours strong enough that I could piut my weight on it while exiting?

If you'll look at the pictures, you'll see in the last one that it can support the weight of front end. Unless you weight more than 1000 lbs, I think you'll be okay.
