Well I hope nobody else needs one of these. Mine snapped about a week ago. The problem is all the major parts houses have stopped selling their inventory of them because they are defective. They're all waiting to be resupplied by a new maker of these things - don't know who. And the wait can be as long as 8 or 9 weeks!!! This is killing me. We're into the best part of the year and my Triumph sits in the garage waiting.

Bummer. Perhaps they will come in sooner than later.

Just get a used one, if you can't find one anywhere else, I have several, but I really don't want to sell them. PS- I doubt the wait will be 8-9 weeks, probably months, or yrs.. Call Rimmer Bros. or Quantum.

I needed a to replace a worn shift fork during my tranny rebuild. I just bought a used one off ebay.

John at Quantum has them. I was just at his shop two weeks ago. Whether or not he will sell them is another matter, but I'm sure that he has quite a few of them, just from the volume of transmissions that he's rebuilt or parted out.

Yikes! Let's hope that this is something that comes back on the shelves. If you can't find one, there's always the option of having a machine shop make one for you. Won't be cheap, of course, but might not be as bad as one would think. Mark Saylor in the MGC community took the lead in getting tie rods made up. They were fantastic, and not outrageously priced.
