TR6 TR-6 BRAKE SERVO QUESTIONS

I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A SUCKING NOISE COMING FROM MY BRAKE SERVO WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL. REMOVED THE SERVO FROM THE CAR; THE FRONT SEAL APPEARED TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION (NO TEARS)BUT THE SERVO NEEDS A NEW FILTER. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BRAKE SERVO? WHAT WOULD BE CAUSING THE SUCKING NOISE? I HAVE NOT YET OPENED THE SERVO (AND REALLY DON'T WANT TO) TO DETERMINE IF THE PROBLEM IS AN INTERNAL MATTER. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INSIGHT. THANK YOU.

Try the Buckeye Triumphs website under technical features, they have imformation on brake servos that might be of help. Good luck
 
The brake servo uses engine vacuum to reduce the amount of pressure on the brake pedal required to operate the brakes. I'm no expert on brake servos (also called Boosters), but it's possible your vacuum line going to it (attaches to the top, white or yellow 'nipple') could be leaking air, in which case you should replace your hose. Try that, and if it doesn't solve it, there's probably an internal problem.
