Afternoon All:

Have an original waterpump that the PO bought to replace his worn out one with. It seems to be in very good shape. It does have the grease fitting. Mu question is that the there is a 5/32 or 4mm gap bwetween the impeller and the body of the pump. Is this to much of a gap or is it OK.

Your thoughts on this one will be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Tinkerman

This seems a little high but its how it clears the inside housing that matters.Hand fit it and make sure with a little clay that there will be clearance when it tightened.
I went and looked at a couple of OE pumps, they are just over 1/8 in gap ,so 5/32 is in line with mine....

Hi MD:

Thanks for the reply. From what you told me it sounds like I need to give it a try. I guess the ultimate test is to install it and make sure that it is not bottoming out on the housing. Thanks for the thoughts.
