Hi,

I am replacing the rear shock links on my TR-3a. When I put the new link in the shock arm, the arm drops with just the weight of the link. Is that correct? I have 10wt Redline shock oil in the shock. Its full to the filler hole.

Time to have them rebuilt?

Roy

If you changed the fluid, try cycling it from stop to stop several times. Then top off the fluid and do it again until it takes no more fluid. If the arm still falls that easily afterward, it is likely time for a rebuild/replacement.
