TR2/3/3A TR 3A Original paint colors for parts

Is there a source online or a book that describes in detail what components were painted what colors? Currently, I am wondering about the rear brake drums (silver?), rear brake emergency brake lever (gloss black?), the master cylinder housing (gloss black?), starter (gloss black?), generator (black?), metal heater tube from thermostat housing,

I want to paint the parts I have removed to original colors even though I am not restoring the entire car.

thanks,
Ron

I, too, wonder this. The biggest unknown seems to be gloss vs satin black on many parts. I suspect some confusion arises when replacement parts are widely sold in satin to the point that they are more common than original parts that may have been gloss.

Looking at period photos, gloss seems more the finish of choice that satin.

In particular I wonder about the black air cleaners, brake fluid reservoir, dynamo & starter.

I try not to be anal about it but if you're painting or powder coating anyway it is no more trouble to use the 'as original' finish.

BTW -- IMO rear brake drums look best in black if using wire wheels -- always felt that silver drums detract from the look of the wires. Just my 2 cents.
