By accident my wife found two old cars in a barn, under cover, stored for many years. Who knows in what shape they are in, but the lady owner said : the Tr3a are not running, and the upholstery looks bad. She does not want selling them for parts as they were her mom's dream.
I made a date to see them this Fri, although I do not have any restoration plans. To make my four hour drive more worthwhile, I would be glad to look for anything anyone of you may want me to inspect , ask or whatever. Need to know by this coming FRi, 6am, west coast time.

How much does she want for the TR3A? Are the body and frame straight? How is the rust situation, i.e. are the body and sills rusted, are the floor pans rusted, is the frame rusted? Is the car complete? Is the engine complete and does it turn over? Thanks!
Regards,
Bob

These two cars were in the desert, 90 miles SW of Barstow , Ca a dusty environment.
off 395.
Both were 61, tr3a?, neither with overdrive. Both with papers.
Frame on #1 looked good ( TS 686237 ) with windscreen glass cracked ; #2 inspected visually only( papers said: STC 61T 69692L Windscreen frame missing top cross piece?? . Both bodies decent..I am no expert. #1 missing grill or buried under the dust/straw/side windows, tops, etc. #2 instr. fashia section pivotted out ( damage, normal? ), as in hinged. #1 instr. fashia looked good. Engines have not run but look complete. Upholstery bad, mostly! Body solid, no rust, Sill solid. Doors open/close squeaking, not rubbing.
Loose parts laying about: all 4 sidescreen, both tops w/ frames, jacks, 2 excellent front fenders, maybe one rear ( with cut out piece ), 1 good front body panel (apron ), starter, gen., flywheel, fuel tank, transmission, and a second trans, maybe with overdrive as frame looked as in Moss catalog with two flanges for accu. pistons..not sure. Jacked up # 1 and undercarriage look ggod , not apparent damage. Sttraight ??? All flat tires. wheel covers corroded a bit. #1 with rust out battery area. This is enough writing. If interested PM or phone me.
