TR 3 Picture HELP Needed

I got a call from the fellow that is doing the seat upholstery for my car. He asked me if I had some pictures of the seat backs so he would have something to go by. I said sure, thinking that in all of the pictures I've taken over the years I would have some. WRONG! I have everything but, sigh. SO if any of you have some pictures of your seat backs that would help him I sure would appreciate it. I think it would be best if you could email them to me, Then I could just forward them to him.

Thanks for your help.

John, we need the covered pics. When I bought the car a gazillion years ago, a new upholstery kit came witn it. The fellow doing the upholstery had never even seen a TR3 much less worked the upholstery (I live in a pretty small town in Central TN). So he is working with the upholstery that came with the car and a paddding kit dropped shipped to him by Moss. Any help you can give would be great.

Thanks, Dick

These are not great, but may get you started. I'm not at home, so cannot email more than one at a time...will later if you need them.

You will note the folding seat is a whole different animal than the straight backed driver seat. The driver cover wraps all the way down and around the bottom and tacks to the strips there. The folding back wraps around the bottom of the back and tacks in the same strip that the front of the cover tacks to. The hinges are sewn to shape and glued before you add the back cover.

You would do well to get several examples and pick what you like best -- in particular the top edge of the seat back seems to vary, some finished sort of squarish (viewed from the side) and some sloping down. I just went with what I like the look of but by no means should mine be taken as the only correct look.
