TR 3 exhaust manifold

Does anyone have a spare TR3 exhaust manifold that they can compare to the picture I have attached. My manifold looks like it has been cut where it is held onto the head. I am installing the proper high port intake manifold and the surface needed for the small clamp seems to have been cut away

I don't know TR3s, but it looks like it could stand to have a few more bolt holes.
 
Looks that way to me. Holes missing by being cut off. Also missing a headpipe stud. On your H/P intake what carb(s) are you installing?
 
Kinda looks normal to me. Looks like my old TR6 exhaust manifold. There were no holes for bolts to go through, just areas for the cast clips to rest on. Looks like yours might have a few chips but certainly enough to retain the clips. Am I wrong?
 
Bill is right about the exhaust flange clamp areas but I was referriong to the holes at the exhaust sweeps to #1 and #4 cylinder from this side they look cut if you turn it over you should have two tabs sticking out at 90 degrees to the exhaust manifold with holes in it (hard to see from this angle). On the TR3-4A high port intake manifold there is a stud that sticks straight down. The threaded stud protrudes through unfortunately in this case the cut-off tab? in the pictured exhaust manifold. This stud allows the intake and exhaust to bolt directly together almost at the end where the SU carb attaches. On the TR3-4A this attachment is in addition to the manifold small and large clamps.
 
It looks like you're missing a bit on 1 and 4...not sure about 2 and 3. I have a TR3 manifold that was JetHot coated (grey cast iron). I will be placing it on EBay shortly if you feel you need one.
 
Yeah, it looks like there is some missing material on the outer exhaust flanges. See the attachment of one of my TR3 manifolds. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

Edit: actually, when I compared both of the pics again, you're missing material on the inner exhaust flanges also. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
 
Thanks for the info, you guys are great!! Now the search is on for an exhaust manifold.. Anybody got a spare they want to sell???

Yeah, I might. The one I posted is a candidate. It has at least one broken stud, but with some heat that can be removed. I also have another one laying around, let me look.

Either way, I'll send you a PM.

I'm down here in West Palm. I have a manifold that has been Jet Hot coated (cast iron grey). If you're interested, I can get over to the shop and snap some photos...let me know.
