TR 3 center steering link

Has anyone ever made full real pivoting bearings that replaced the rubber bushings at the two inner joints where the steering arms attach?
I am assembling my fully rebuilt front suspension and I can not help but notice that the steering effort is high because those joints are not free to pivot but rather must flex torsionally with solid rubber and the steering loads increase as I turn the wheel.
My steering box works fine going lock to lock without that link hooked up.
Any comments or thoughts will be appreciated.
