TR2/3/3A TR-3 Brake Calipers

I have a pair of TR-3 brake calipers that are identical to the cast iron Girling calipers but are made of aluminum. There are no marking on them. Does anyone know the origins of these?

Aloha,

I've checked through a few books that I have and find no mention of aluminum calipers being offered as a factory option. Bill Piggott's book "Original Triumph TR" is a very authoritative source for points of originality. Perhaps these are aftermarket competition parts.

Safety Fast,
Dave
