Greetings brethren:
I've got a dash question. The dash on my 250 is in pretty sad shape, but I do like the color that it has mellowed into. I recently ordered a replacement (alas, I currently lack the facilities for fine woodwork to tackle the original). The replacement is a lovely piece, and nicelyl matches the color of the wood on the Tourist Trophy wheel I also recently acquired. However, the color does strike me as a bit dark and brown -- it lacks the warm red/amber glow of the current dash and the dashboards I generally see on TR-250s and TR-6s (and that is portrayed in the 1968 color brochure I have for the car). Are there other sources for replacement dashboards? Is the darker brown color of the Roaster Factory dash how they all started? Again, it just seems a bit dark to me.
