Howdy all:

Took my TR-250 to the annual British car show at Lilypons, near Frederick, Maryland. There was another green TR-250 in the class, and here's a shot of both cars. Virtual twins, except for the top, the wheels (though we were the only 250s in the class with original spec wheels, I'm proud to say) and my (*sniffle*) lack of overdrive!

AngelFJ, I assume this was your car? It's a beauty!

My girlfriend brought her 1971 TR-6 to the show as well. It was her first LBC show, and I'm glad to report that she had a great time! Our cars together:

Hey guys I was there too. Bill I spoke to you and your girlfriend. You might remember my car. I had the blue 71 TR6 with the red racing stripes and the flip fiberglass front end. It's good to put a face with the user id. What a beautiful day for the show and a great turnout.

Hi Brent! Good to put a face with a user name as well! It was great meeting you. You have a great car!

I was there.

Funky old Powder Blue TR3.

Good Show, except for the brief cloudburst that soaked me and the car.

Must have been better than last year though.

Wow Bill!!

What great cars and great memories for me.

Frank? You wuz there and failed to mention it to me??
You buzzard, you!!!!

The last time I was at Lilypons, I got snakebit in the foot
by a danged pond snake- musta been near 9 foot foot long with
five inch fangs. The paramedics were more worried about it than me.

Thanks for sharing the car photos. Looks like MD got some rain.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. We left a bit after 1pm when we saw the clouds looming on the horizon. We pulled into the garage just as a few rain drops started to fall in NW DC.

John,

Sorry to hear you got wet. I left at 2 and barely made it home. I had about 20 drops on the windshield. I don't have a top, so I get real nervous when I see any moisture. Hopefully that will be remedied in the next few weeks.

Another cloudburst hit just as I pulled into the Lab.

So I got rained upon again while walking from the Lab to the Boffin Residence, but that's O.K., I was already soaked!

The car dried pretty quickly.

I had a great time talking with old friends and new. Dart and Michael Oritt were there!

Re: TR-250 encounter at Adamstown, MD show [Lilypo

The little showers this year couldn't be half as bad as the torrential downpours we had LAST year at the show!

I missed it this year, though... took the wife to Cedar Point in Ohio for an anniversary present (she's a coaster freak). I got to see one MGB while there.

The sacrifices we make...

But I recognize two people, and one car in that shot above! The powder blue TR4, and it's owners!

At least you have some taste in where to take a coaster freak. I wonder how long it will be before Cedar Point tops 500 ft.

So that's how you came up with the name for your facility then?

Good catch!

It's half of the double meaning.

I live in a hollow. After a heavy rain, a spring flows through the yard where the Lab is located making the ground very soggy.

Hence the name.
