I need tires for my daily driver and the only ones I can find in the size are Toyo's. Any good or bad on these for a SUV. (235-65 17)
Thanks, I don't trust anyone's opinion off this forum.

Hi TH, I have used their tyres on a daily driver and was quite happy with the performance. Never really tested them in the wet though.--Fwiw---Keoke

Hi TH,
I did a search at Tire Rack (a supporting vendor here) and came up with 58 tires in the size you mention. I think Toyo's are pretty good tires, I like Yokohama also. If you buy from them, tell them you saw the add here. No pressure. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Nice thing about the Tire Rack, in addition to low prices, they have user reviews of the tires, I ended up buying Hankook Optimas for my daily driver based on those reviews, don't know if they come in your size, but they are the best tires I have ever had, smooth, quiet, stick well, and they are super in the snow and ice, which we have had a lot of this year, these are just all season rated tires but gave seen a lot of guys slipping and sliding the last few weeks, by my Hankooks really grip.

Where do you get them mounted and balanced? Doesn't the shipping get expensive?
We do get our out ice and snow. I've used "aggressive" tires before and found them to be ok off road but terrible on ice. My wife turned her 4-Runner over going only 25 mph on them. I'm just looking for M-S.
There sight is impressive with lots of choices. I haven't had time to really go through it all yet.
Thanks all.

The shipping really isn't that much, plus they'll drop ship them to whatever installer you choose. I bought four Yokohamas from TireRack (make sure you click on the link through this site) for our Sport-Trac, chose the installer from their list of recommended installers (of which there were eight within two miles of my house), and set the appointment. Once all was said and done, I saved about $75 from what the manager quoted their price would be. Once I need new tires for my 350Z (which will be soon due to my wife's lead foot), I'll definitely go this route again.
