Towing an XJ6

I am towing an XJ6 about 60 miles with a tow dolly and am wondering if there will be any issues or concerns. I've used this dolly to tow MG's with ease. It's a Master Tow dolly and I am using my Expedition. The car's wheels are free but I am unsure if I should disconnect anything before

I go or can I just hitch it up & go.

My assumption is that I will be charged extra going over a toll bridge with the car hooked up but do you think they will bang me for an empty trailer?

Thanks
Vince

Vince, they usually charge for how many axles are on the ground.

Vince - were I to have to move my XJ6 some other way than under its own power, I'd use a roll-back wrecker...just my input, FWIW.

Meaning?

Vince, Depending on how far your planning on towing it, you could damage the transmission if you don't disconnect the drive shaft or tow it with the differential on the dolly and the steering secured. If it were mine and it had to go more than a couple of blocks, I'd put it on a roll off. Cheaper than a new tranny! (By Far)! JMHO.

My budget is real low right now and I need to move it outta my way. With all the enthusuasts around you think you could borrow one but nobody has one.
