Tour the Santa Cruz Mountains on Nov. 4

Ed Fox will lead the last Golden Gate Austin Healey Club drive of 2006--a Healey tour through the Santa Cruz Mountains on Saturday November 4 starting at 9 AM.

Meet in the parking lot of the Los Gatos Lodge off the East Los Gatos exit off Highway 17 in Los Gatos. The entrance to the lodge is on the right, off the freeway. Coming south from San Jose, cross over the and proceed about ½ mile to the Lodge. Turn right as you enter the lodge and we’ll form up in spaces along the fence. There is a restaurant in the Lodge for those who wish to be early.

We’ll exit the Lodge to the left and head down Highway 17 to Black Road and up through the woods to Skyline Boulevard.

We will stop at a vista view spot with spectacular views of the valley. The Santa Cruz Mountain tour will continue up Highway 35 to Cal 84 at Alice’s Restaurant, then down 84 to La Honda and onto Pescadero Road into Pescadero for lunch at Duarte’s.

From there we will return via Route 1 north through San Gregorio and back to Skyline Blvd to Congress Springs Road turning left to return through Saratoga and back to Los Gatos Lodge.

For further information or if you’re planning to attend, contact Ed Fox at ekfox@comcast.net. We need to get an idea of how many people will be joining the group for lunch at Duarteā€˜s.
