I saw an ad on craigslist.Guy was losing his Home.
Trying to sell 3 trucks to avoid foreclosure.
I contacted him,but felt lousy on the way home + the
rest of the day.The truck that I was interested in is
two hours away (4 hours round trip).
I backed out because of my illness.Did I do the right
thing?

Don't second-guess, Doug. Gotta go with your gut.

As soona s I saw the title I ~knew~ it was going to be about another truck.

I agree to though I have to say if the shoe were on the other foot and I HAD to get rid of something, I'd rather it go to someone who cared and was honest rather than a vulture.

Don't forget he still has to sell the trucks - his life is cr*ppy enough right now - this transaction could be an act of kindness not greed.

Well If he is nearing foreclosure he is only delaying the inevitable by selling the trucks.

OTOH , He has the option of trying for a loan modification to avoid same, which is equally a skeptical endeavor but guaranteed to forestall the foreclosure for not less than the next 6 months. So don't feel to bad and remember charity begins at home---Keoke- :frown:
