You will note with the bathroom scale approach I mentioned in my earlier post that I had the person stand on the scale and use the difference in force when calculating torque. I also mentioned that they should do this several times and average the result. However, if you've got a fish scale you feel good about, by all means use it. Me... I never caught anything big enough to justify owning a fish scale and back then they were all "spring powered" anyway.
