Torque settings?

The manual I have refers to castellated nuts for the mains and big ends and says you should tightend and then on some until you can get the split pin through. It does not give a torque setting.

What is regarded as right for the bottom end of a BN1 engine?

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,
I have never seen a published number.
If the main studs are the same size as the cylinder head studs, 7/16", 65 to 70 ft/lb should work.

Yeah Ben, DR guessed pretty close: Main Bearing Nuts =75 FT LBS.
--Connectng Rod Set Screws = 50 FT LBS.
