Top link offset bushings??

I have tire wear on the outside of the front tires even with nearly no toe in and think I may be blaming it on the fact that Spridgets have quite a bit of positive camber. I'm thinking of trying some off set bushings to reduce that camber but have always wondered how they stay in place and which I should fit. There are several suppliers. Do I go with moly filled nylon or bronze or are they worth fitting in the first place on a street car?? Any experience appreciated?

hi Kurt,
i bought the speedwell offset trunion bushings made from Delrin. They're held in the same as the stock bushings with a slight interference fit. They work great!

I made mine out of moly-nylon. They seem to be staying in position. They do not give much adjustment.
 
Wouldn't care to make another set would you, Trevor?? Moly nylon would seem to be the perfect item and the price Moss wants seems a little steep. Of course I haven't gone shopping yet.

It'd probably be January before I ever got around to doing them. The stuff is easy to machine. If you have access to a lathe I can send you some material for a reasonable cost.
 
I have a little lathe and could do the job as soon as I finish the project that is chucked up in the 4 jaw right now!:rolleye:

I have the Moss offset upper trunion bushings, work out quite well. Should be able to see the negative camber in the pic, just barely.
