Top Gear: Coming here?

This isn't the first time they've talked about coming to the US, IIRC.

Hopefully, if they do come over, nothing gets lost in translation.

I find the show quite entertaining, but do they plan on featuring the same sarcastic condescending attitude about most things American that they currently exhibit?

That may get them on the air here- but it won't keep them there.

true. I saw a couple of episodes where they were 'catering' to the US market, and they cleaned up the anti-American slandering in them.

That would be the only part of the show I would change for the US/Canadian market.

My biggest hope is that they don't turn the show into what we already have for car shows over here. Though I like watching the shows about the cars, most of the ones seem to be more like 30 minute adverts for a particular maker, or really dry with very little in the show to bring a smile to your face.

I sure hope so! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

PC.

Remember "Junkyard Wars"? It was a great show when produced in England. When they brought the show over for an Americanized version, it sucked big rocks.

Half the fun of the show from across the pond was that they featured so many cars that are not common or available here!! They will have to outdo themselves with entertainment value to hold my attention with Cadillacs and the like!! Sounds pretty boring to me, but I will give it a chance!
