Does any one happen to know, or can measure how many inches between the middle and rear top bow on a BJ8 (or the middle and the front). It is the floating bow that I want to attach to the strap.

On mine I get just a hair short of 7 3/8 inches as the distance in between the rear and middle bows.

Would someone provide a link or pdf for a BJ8 top instructions here or send me a PM.

I'm about ready to give my car to the top guy, and any information about distances of the top bows or any other information I can provide him, I'm sure will be helpful.

Don't like to disagree with Keoke (He knows way more than I about the Healey), but I still think the space between the middle and rear bow is closer to 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 inches, not 10. 10, maybe between the middle and front bow.
 
Shorn, the rear bow is above the zip in window. The next, the middle is 7 something inches. The middle to the front is 10 inches. I'm not counting the wood bow at the very front. The guy who did my top got the 10 and 7 something inches mixed and the top looks very flat. He will be replacing a defective top he put on and I wanted to get this straightened out.
Thanks all for the help. It was suppose to be done this coming Monday. I just got a call he had an injury and needed to postpone the work.

BJ8 Top Installation Instructions

This is a scan then pasted in copy of installation instructions for a BJ8 top
that were found in an old top box. Not sure if they are BMC or not but
interesting none the less..

Spacing between front bow and 1st bow 20 1/4"
Spacing between list bow and 2nd bow l0"
Spacing between 2nd bow and rear bow 7 1/2"
Spacing between rear bow and body line 14 1/2"
