Hi guys, I have to put on my top soon. It is attacahed to the frame , but removed from the car. It has the lift the dot snaps on the sides, but nothing in the seven holes along the back. There is a strip that attaches to the top and to the car...With what?, any pics?. The MOSS catalogue drawings don't help. I have several boxes of parts and stuff to rummage through. Also I need a picture if possible of what the lift the dot parts actually go in the body of the midget (1970 if it makes a difference)

Thanks

The top is attached to the back cockpit lip with seven screws the screws got through the snap then through the chrome strip, then through the top then through the rubber seal and finally into the metal of the lip itself. These snaps are used to secure the boot cover or tonneau. I'll try to post a picture later.

What Trevor said but the screws are (or were) part of the snap.
Try a boat shop, they have those screw/snaps and they are perfect. They even come long enough and in self drilling if you so desire.

I went with stainless since I had just repaired a rust problem on that lip. I couldn't find any snaps with stainless screws (didn't think about a boat shop).

You might put a dap of clear silicon on theos screws just to help prevent any bare metal from getting exposed. It was a PITB to repair that rusted lip.

Trevor any luck with a picture

Doh,
I got wrapped up in our car show this weekend and forgot. I'll try to get it this afternoon.

I got all the snaps I needed at the local Lowes home improvement store. Made by Stanley. They worked GREAT!. You can get them with screws or for rivets.

That is a good reference. I don't think my pictures show anything better.
