Friends,
What is the correct tool to remove the oil drain plug from the gearbox of a Mark I BN-7 (side shift transmission)? I can't get far enough under the car at the moment to get eyes on the fitting from below.
Thanks in advance.

Found the answer: The same square peg wrench that fits the drain plug on the rear diff.

Does your car have an OD? If so then it's best to drain both, as they share the oil.

Thanks, Dale.
Yes it does and I will.
And I will use 30w non-detergent oil (though I am aware of other views on weights that have been shared on this forum).
