Took the parents for a ride

My parents were in town this weekend for a visit. It was the first time they've been out since I bought the Tunebug. Had some really nice weather on Saturday and was able to take them for a spin. They enjoyed it, and mom had to have another go!

Modern technology being what it is, we made a short movie of the event:

It's been a year or two, but Dad really likes driving my '74 MGB. He said he enjoyed them better in his younger days when they were easier to get in and out of. I've taken Mom for a couple of rides and she likes it, but I have to do that in the early spring before our summers get so hot and humid.

William - look at my post over on the Spridget Forum - there's a '74 Midget ifor sale in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

I wish we could get it, Tony. I've had my car for nearly six years now, and Dad bought an '86 Corvette not long after I got the MG. It suits him better, though he has good memories of driving LBCs back in the 1960s.

My dad was hesitant at first about driving mine but now that its all dialed in all I get are complaints about how he's going to get a speeding ticket in it as he's having to much fun. Hopefully the fun factor will let me continue to store it in their garage for a bit longer but I'm already getting the hint they want the space again.
