& you don't even want to know how many safety & EPA regulations those guys violated getting it up!! But, who cares - it rang today!!

The little guy in the blue cap ties some unbelievable knots to haul lumber & things 30' in the air - I was waiting every time for lumber to drop on his head!!

Looks more like "sidewalk supervision" to me. :jester:

What are you doing down there? Volunteer thing? Looks pretty cool, err... hot

OH YEAH - It was HOT!

My church has had an affiliation with the church down there for several years. Our latest project was to raise funds to buy a church bell for their tower. We purchased a refurbished one here in the states, and had it shipped down there. In our conversations, Tony told me that he and Jerri would like to tag along on one of our trips. Brought them this time, thinking he'd be helpful in installing said bell, but once we got there, the locals took over! I was thinking we'd have to rent a crane or something similar (bell weighs over 300 lbs.), but these guys rigged up the scariest block and tackle you'll ever see - NO PROBLEMA!

Needless to say, we (Tony) learned a lot! And the congregation was plenty pleased!
