I know the tonneau attaches to the boot and dash, but does it attach to the doors in any way? Does the tonneau attach in any other locations?
Thanks, Kevin

Nope. Just hangs over the doors. Not sure about the earlier cars, but for the later ones, it's two snaps and a Lift-The-Dot at the dash, six (or eight) Tenax down the sides behind the doors, and snaps all across the back. When it's folded down, there's two Lift-The-Dots down between the seats.

I added a pair of snaps sitting on the door about 2" behind wing window so provide additional support for tonneau and to keep from flapping on my '68. That aluminum channel can be easily drilled and tapped but after I had some water accumulate on the tonneau and have it sag and go into the car, this easily solved the problem.

Water in car from a saging tonneau can be solved with a beach ball on the tunnel and blown up to make the tonneau a tent.

Why a beach ball, is flat and small when not needed.

Or two snaps that will also keep the pass side from flapping at 60+mph. I do like the Beach Ball idea though.

I tip the seats part way forward to hold the tonneau up so water runs off.
But now I have a redesigned tonneau from my local upholstery shop, It works great with just a different dart sewn in at the steering wheel. Now it has a pitch, and modern material that does not sag.
Sure, not original, it's better

Sounds neat. I'll soon need a new tonneau, and was gonna make one from scratch...Gotta pic of that dart?

Beach ball idea ingeneus! I have two full tonneau covers and can't make either fit properly. Now It's winter and I'm back to my hard top - I might as well ebay them!
