Tonneau Cover Identity

These two tonneau covers came with my 74 Midget but neither fits. Both are too long from steering wheel to front edge and neither have the correct fittings along the rear. Any ideas as to what they might fit? They are about the same width although the angle of the pictures distorts that a bit.

One like that came with mine, turned out to be for an MGB.
If there's one around (club maybe), do a test fit.

I have an MGB one - different size plus it has small bars along the back to fit in those little chrome clips. These two just have simple push studs all along the back edges. Any ideas?

The fittings along the rear look similar to some Googled pictures. Did the length of the Spitfire cockpit change over time like the Midget did? Both covers are the same width and shape at the front, but one is longer.
