Tonight's Questions - engine mounts

I was working tonight and pulled out my new engine mounts. Although I am a long way from reinstalling the engine, while it is still fresh in my head, here are tonight's questions

1. I presume the order of assembly is: a) bolt the engine mounts to the brackets. b) install the brackets. c) lower the engine onto the motor mount. d) bolt the engine to the motor mount. - Does this sound right? (as apposed to bolting the mount to the engine and lowering the engine and mount onto the bracket?)

2. Each bolt that held the engine to the motor mount is a different size - I presume this is a mistake?

3. On a different topic - I was cleaning my fuel pump today (which I presume is original) and in very clear letters it says, GB, Torino, Made in Italy - what's up with that? durn foreign content /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

thanks all

Tis one way to do it. I have my drivers side mount slotted so that when the motor is installed this bolt will fall into the mount. Then, being the obsesive creature I am, I have built a small backing plate to go behind the mount, it probably is not needed. The larger bolt is for SC engines and goes on the driver side to compensate for torque. Just kidding.

Both brackets on body, one mount one engine and one on bracket-body. I prefer to put the passenger side body one on and the drivers engine.

1500 mounts are a little different. They are much easier to do than the 1275 ones. mounts should be in the car, and then set the engine on them. A little fiddleing and pop the bolts thru and your done.
