Love the Accord! (And a few others - but it strikes me the size of the Honda next to the Bug!)

Was it invited or did it show up on it's own accord?? <I'll see myself out....>

It was a prelude to a pilot program to be held at the civic center that will give insight as to how to get a passport to the latest odyssey over the ridgeline fit for a king.

When did North America change from right hand drive to left ?
And correspondingly I presume there was a switch to either side of the road ??

dad imported and loved his 1913 overland ( early company of Wiley’s jeeps fame I think ??) he raced it on track, did trials ( basically off road )
And it was rhd

American's have always had left hand drive cars. It comes from our wagons, buckboards, coaches, etc, having the brake on the left. Now many of the earliest cars has the wheel, or tiller, in the center but many of these were intended to be driven from the left. Even George Seldon's original patent for his "road engine" from 1895 shows the brake on the left side.

Some car companies, Willys among them, experimented for a time with RHD to place the driver closer to the side of the road so he could avoid obstacles along the side of the road more easily.

As far as I know we've always driven in the right side of the road though.

Isn't that the car that Tom got for his high school graduation gift?
Indeed and even then it was old enough that he still had to restore it.

:nana:

Restoring that car was tough - had to wait for the parts to arrive via caravel.

(Back in the day, we didn't care about right/left on the road. There was no right or left - only center.)

Is that the forerunner of the "Short Bus"?
