was the last episode of LOST which interests me about as much as a trip to the dentist, so, out came Ms Triss and away we went. Drove first to a Cruise Night (which I never did find) and then by friends who weren't home, all of which was fine, the weather was beautiful, the sunset gorgeous and I drove all the way home along Lake Ontario. The road isn't always next to the lake but, lovely towns (Oakville etc) lovely neighbourhoods, everyone out getting ice cream, and, it's Victoria Day (long) weekend, so, fireworks going off on almost every block. All in all, just shy of 100 miles. More to the point, she ran flawlessly. In fact, I was about 2/3 of the way done and realized I was no longer listening for every change in engine noise, nor wondering if every smell came from the engine. I realized at that moment that I had moved from restoring a car to driving and maintaining a restored car. Of course the jobs will never end, but, I don't think I have ever had as much fun driving the car as I did tonight, weather perfect, music on radio perfect, running perfect - all in all priceless!

Fantastic -- that's the sort of drive we're all looking for. Well done.

We need more reports like that.
There's something about driving a British
car that you don't get with others.
I need a drive like that.

Well done.

It is drives like that that keep us coming back.
Sort of like how one keeps playing golf in search of that eagle
you once made. Those bogeys and double bogeys are enough to
make one throw the clubs away. Then along comes a birdie
and you remember why you play the game..chasing eagles.
Drives like you describe can make ya forget the bleeding knuckles and the fits and false starts. Ahhhhhh...
nuttin like a LBC fix to keep us junkies coming back for more.
Can't wait to get my next "fix".
You lucky dawg you!
:driving:

Woohoo! That's what it's all about. Wind in the hair, song of the engine, and everything working just like it's supposed to. With most cars you'd take that for granted...LBC's make you work for it. Makes ya appreciate it all the more.

Sounds nice! Congrads!

 It's a great feeling, isn't it!
