Its 6am on Friday morning & I'm leaving the hotel going to Fort Leavenworth for the last time to finish up a few security issues....the simulation is over, people are breaking things down in all the various locations across the country that were supporting it (Army, Air Force & Navy located in Kansas, Georgia, Virginia & North Carolina - these simulations are big deals to put on & support)...the division now turns its attention to packing its equipment & getting its people ready for deployment to Iraq mid-March.

And..........I'm going home TOMORROW!!!
 
It seems you've been there far longer than the actual time... must have felt even longer to YOU. Joint exercises were always a big deal and the last day or so time passage felt like it slowed down even more.

Came here for 2 weeks - ended up staying 4+!!!

Rental car is turned in, wake-up call left for 4am, boarding passes printed & already electronically checked in w/Delta, shuttle to airport scheduled for 5:40am.

Next time we talk, it'll be from the comfort of either the GarageMahal or my TV room!!

that's ok, it'll be a while before I can work on the B, much less drive it
 
Call away - I spent today with grandson...tomorrow I have to get 2 new parts orders to FEDEX & about 6 used parts orders....plus check on my TD that's in body shop & start sorting out all the new nuts & bolts & parts for putting it back together!

& I've got an order to place about mid-morning tomorrow.
