Annual Swap meet. was a lot of fun, Bracing top down motoring to get there (about 42 deg F) followed a B for part of the way, saw a big Healey getting loaded on a tow truck flatbed and passed a very cool Riley 1.5 as well as a great turquoise Studebaker Lark (not going to the show) had at least 100 cars, 3 or 4 Lotus' (Loti?) 2 Rollers, lots of the usual B's and 6's. There were 4 Spridgets, Ms Triss, Phil's Spridget, and early side curtain and a bugeye. All in all a great day. Mark was there but sans car as he had a table.

On the way home stopped to meet a guy I had met in a Yahoo group. Showed me his 62 DKW Junior survivor (with the most amazing documentation I have ever seen) Steve has just built a new house and has a 2 car garage which, when you open the doors is 2 deep making it a 4 car garage except he has a hoist in the corner making it 5. This with at least 10 foot ceilings and another car sized corner full of lathes etc. The garage has drainage under the cars and 5 floor heated zones. It was amazing. I have been to the mountaintop. Great too to discuss the hobby some more.

Great trip home, still cool but sunny, a qucik snooze then to church and a friends for supper, all in all a great day!

BTW, forgot to mention, I'm driving home and sitting at a light. White Mercedes with dark dark windows pulls up beside. Next thing I know the window is down and I hear.

"what year is your car?"

"1976."

"How much is it worth? $15000?"

"a little less than that."

"you want to sell it?"

"no"

"Oh, where can I get one?"

"Ebay."

"Ok thanks."

window goes up and off he drives. Never had that one before.

He didn't give you a chance to warn him about rust.

He offers $150K and you didn't take it?

Think of all the rustbuckets you could buy and work on for $150K!

shoot, I'd sell it for 20k - didn't see 150. I'd likely sell a kid for that.
