Today is one second longer - June 30th, leap second

If the extra second is between now and when I get off work -- not sure if I can handle it.

Already used mine.

We should all spend ours driving our LBCs.

Oh no! The world as we know it will end, all the computers will crash, chaos will engulf us all! It will be known as Y2K+15.

hmmm - I wonder what will happen to automated stock trades, when the extra second is added.

There, I feel better already. Refreshing.

My computer seems to have survived it.

As we remember the panic that took place prior to Y2K, where we bought software to keep our computers from crashing and seeing how human nature overrides common sense at times, I guess a panic situation is evident. I really don't care, as I can sleep in with the extra time! :highly_amused: PJ

What I remember most is that after a couple of years of people TRYING to make us panice with varying degrees of success - the whole world went out and partied (literally like it was 1999) making me think we might be even more strongly wired to celebrate and to laugh and to dance than we are to be afraid - in spite of the best efforts of many.

BTW did you know that 17% of gravestones on both sides of the border we not Y2K compliant? (I am not making this up.)

1922 - 19

<snicker> Just think about the work of archeologists hundreds of years from now!
