Doc and Kerry,
Your help and suggestions have really been put to some good use. A long weekend in the garage.
I had to paint it with some primer since it may be a couple of weeks before we get back and in the humidity, that's all it takes to start rusting again.

Terriphill:
Looking very good I must say.
Did you find the shrinking disk useful?
I remember the first time I used mine I was amazed watching the metal go ... well not quite exactly where I wanted it but it went hahahaha
I put a little too much pressure on the disk and got the metal a little too hot and it shrank more than I anticipated. It took some getting used to! But once I did I could pretty much make the metal do what I wanted it to do. B.T.W. IF you can get to the back side of the piece you are working on you can shrink the minor high spots {they would be low spots on the front side and high spots on the back} too. If you can work both sides of the metal you can almost metal finish it and only have to use a very small amount of body filler.
Compared to what you had to start with and what you have now ... you did an excellent job!
AND ..... you are most welcome, I`m glad I could assist in some minor way.

WOOHOO!!! Lookin' GREAT, T!!!

...wanna come down and have a go at Luigi?
