To Cruise...or Not to Cruise?

.... that is the question.I've entered the '60 Chevy
panel truck in the major local show. There's a cruise on Friday
night, but not sure if I'll take the panel truck.
It's about 20 miles away from here,& I was told that I
could run the MGB GT on the cruise ( I have to go down & reg-
ister Friday night). The panel truck gets 9.5 MPG,the GT -28.
What to do.....

Have some friends help you lift the MG into the back of the panel, and you can take both. Those things get 9.5MPG empty or loaded.....

I think that's a really great suggestion!!!

My Wife's always saying that she'd like me to take her on a cruise-
maybe here's my chance.

Well... You can just fit a Lloyd Alexander in the back of a standard-size pickup box, I've seen it done...

It's what happens when someone makes an unplanned purchase at the automotive flea market and needs to find a way to get it home...

Speaking of panels, check this one out!

A 1957 GMC panel van with NAPCO 4x4, ordered new by the Edmonton Police (that would be Alberta), now fully restored... This has to be a very rare unit... Photo by one of my web contacts

James,

Those NAPCO units are really cool.I don't think that they used
Blue lights back then.
Anyway,I went to the cruise night and saw....a Nissan Juke entered(?)
Really ticked me off,as this should be a "vintage" car show.
What are these people smoking?

Oh come on Doug, every vintage show needs a Juke-box. :jester:
