T-Series Tires New Firestones 165/15s Reasonable

New sneakers, new wheels & knockoffs, plus restored grill. Now it's patiently waiting, waiting for it's new suit! Almost like waiting for your first born! 5 years of working on this thing and the end of the tunnel is getting closer, just not close enough. :grief:. PJ

This was yesterday, don't mind the dust!

There were a lot of those California conversions back in the 50s and 60s. It was pretty much a trend back then. I know of a TD Chevy conversion done very well. Remember, they were just cheap old cars then, some junk yard specials. A lot of back yard home brew conversions were made also across the country and a lot of those became piles of parts of the disinterested in a barn/garage somewhere. Were still finding some of those, "Barn finds" today by folks that want to bring these car back from the dead and back to their former original glory. :encouragement: PJ

I was asked yesterday what is the manufacturing date on the tires. The date on these tires is, 11th week of 2014! Tire dates are in weeks of a certain year, not months. Reason, if a tire is rejected on the line, they only reject that week of a run, not a month. Stamping on these tires is [1114]. PJ

How would this tire work on an MGB? Coker's in my town, and I'm friends with one of the employees. Don't need them just yet, but something to think about.

I am pretty sure you can go to 15" wire wheels on an MGB if you already have wires just by getting the new wheels, MGBs of course are 14" stock, the MGC had 15" wheels and they fit, I know of at least one MGB in our club running 15" wheels, but I am not sure of the tire size.

Check with Tire Rack, they have the correct tires for your car! 165/14. $70, $75, and $83 each. PJ
