Better too little than too much. Those 3/8 lugs will snap off real easy.

a 3/8" stud would be more like 35-40 ft. lbs..

Not long ago, my part time helper in the shop bought a Midget and decided to torque the wheels before heading up my way, someone told him 65 ft.lbs. on a stock 3/8" stud, by the time he made it to the shop, three studs had snapped off. On the Midget race car we use 7/16 studs and torque to 50-55 ft. lbs.

[/ QUOTE ] We all learn the hard way with those little lugs, I believe. I sanpped one off and spent a day hunting a new one. Not the most common lug stud to find /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I got to by me a new set of chrome lug nuts and they are not cheap either.
