I am in the process of installing a rear crank seal mod. Seems straight forward but I am looking for any tips as to recommended procedures. In particular I am seeking install techniques & other parts to consider replacing in addition to trans seals. I was thinking of installing the overdrive after the trans is installed. I also noticed oil comming from the camshaft and I am hopeful the gasket supplied will trap any oil against the block. I bought a modified plate to accomodate the new seal housing and it appears the gasket just touches the expanded opening.

Hi Bob, just let me say NO! to attempting the OVD installation with the tranny installed in the car.---Fwiw--Keoke

Thanks for the response. I kind of concluded that on my own today as I was replacing sealing gaskets and still have not mated the O/D pump roller to the trans output shaft cam sleve. Maybe I will have better luck tomorrow after a beer or two tonight. Thanks Bob

Well Bob, After the girst pint! just do a Google Search for "Mr Finespanner" Then read "The Wire Trick" it will make your life much easier.--Fwiw---Keoke

Thanks to all especially Keoke the gearbox, over drive and bell housing are one. Healey Bob
