Hi guys - I make a practice of replacing the seals and when possible bearings on the differntials on cars that I don't have a history on. Any tips on getting the driving flange out?

If it won't tap off with a brass hammer, you may need to use a puller. I drilled some holes in a length of flat iron, so I could bolt it to the flange and hold it from turning. Otherwise, it's straightforward.

Not the same flange, but this shows the concept

Thanks Randall. I end up bring them to a machine shop. One came right off, the other BANG. It released OK but man o' man it came off with a bang.
