Hi Guys

Almost completed my rebuild of a 69 B. I just installed the Gas Bonnet supports from Moss. Went in very easily and they work great. I have a question about how to adjust the left/right fit of the bonnet. Right now if I'm looking at the closed bonnet from the front it appears to have more of a gap on the left side than on the right. Maybe about 3/16" to ÂĽ" difference. See the attached image.

Do any of you have any tips or tricks that would allow me to adjust the gaps to be more even?

Thanks

Yes, I know.
The daughter is working on another site. Now sure when it will be up.
Ok, I would not use on a Ali one. Bonnets don’t always fit the same on the front corner from the factory. How does it fit with the struts removed?

The gaps were the same as pictured without the struts. I'm thinking I need to perhaps add shims to move the bonnet to the left about an â…›" or a little more. I was a concerned that the struts would have too much resistance when closing causing the bonnet to warp a little, but I've found that with the positioning of the anchor points of the struts there is not enough pressure to cause the bonnet to bend. Since I have a steel bonnet I'm no longer worried about that happening.
