Well, here she is. This is my wife's "new" 72 mini. My wife has christened her "Tinkerbell". She has had quite a life so far. Built in England, shipped knocked down to Australia, assembled, shipped to New Zealand, Now shipped to California, then trucked to Colorado. She is a 72 Mini 850. Since they don't salt the roads in NZ, there is not a rust issue. I need to tune the carb, but she runs really well, and more importantly, stops well too. She joins the two Riley Elfs (Elves?), a 60 MGB and the 34 Ford Model Y in the family. (We do have a Nissan Altima for the rare long distance trips). Looking forward to lots more LBC fun with this one, as well as great gas mileage.
I tried to get the trucker to leave the pretty little red Alfa roadster too, but he declined. I'm not a big fan of italian cars, but I could drive that one.
