All:

I posted this on the AH EXP website. Just trying to get the most exposure for the best information:

I'm doing a rebuild of a 948. Hap did the head, I'm doing 0.40 over pistons. The machine shop recommended I get a new, replacement timing chain. I looked at the Moss/Moss UK catalogs and they recommend replacing it with a duplex chain. I'm still running the original crankshaft and want to install a Judson SC. Can II get some input on this? If I add the duplex chain do I need a different front cover? Will there be enough room on the crankshaft for the SC pulley?

Thanks,

Mike

The duplex chain will not effect the location of the pulley, nor will you need to change the timing cover. You will however need to change the two bottom hex bolts in the front engine plate to countersunk screws to clear the chain. You can just see the head of one under the chain, and how close the chain is the the front plate.
