Time Well Spent

It all started about a month ago w/ the fuel pump acting strange so that lead to a NOS solid state SU pump (found on Craigs list)and replacing flex fuel lines which lead me to discover I had the wrong gas cap for my tank and that my tank is non-vented?? Mine is a Nov 69 production and titled as a 1970. That lead to a major rebuild of the carbs which are AUD 135's but should be AUD 405's installed by PO. Well since my brake M/C was leaking and I had a new one it was time to replace the M/C. That's always a fun experience....so since the pdeal box was out I might as well repaint the firewall and deck that were damaged by the brake fluid. What the heck might as well rebuild the clutch M/C & slave. Now w/ the carbs polished and rebuilt some K&N's would look good in there. Just for sport I did reinstall a PCV valve and reset & rebalanced the carbs. Final job was to do a complete lube and fluid check with a top off of the steering rack.
It was good to finally address all the "to do" things and this week it was drive time. She runs great and is a pleasure to drive AND stopps well. It was time well spent!! Looking forward to the summer season!!

great. Thanks, the "might as wells" don't surprise me, but that you accomplished them and are driving this (and the next 10) seasons does. Well done!
