What is the rotation of the locking nuts on the tie rod connecting bar. Facing the front of the car the right side nut rotates counter clock wise to undo. which way does the left side nut rotate to undo?

Thanks,

Ray

Ray, I think the opposite side moves in the opposite direction,if I understand the question correct.Keoke

The threads are opposite on each end of the tie rod so that you can adjust the toe-in by rotating the rod. THerefore, looking from in front of the car to the tie rod, if the right side nut rotates counter clockwise to loosen then the left would be clockwise to loosen. On my car I had to take the complete tie rod off the vehicle to loosen the right side nut as it was "frozen" in place. I put it on the floor and used two wrenches - standing on the end of the appropriate wrench was enough pressure to release it. The other end loosened without any trouble at all. Good luck.
