Ticking - Bad oil pump?

I posted a few weeks ago about how my car was ticking horribly, OP was dropping to about 10 psi and lower and I was a bit worried. I got home and it sat a few weeks until I could address it. I ordered a new Napa gold filter which by the way make sure you tell the guy which filter you need and not what make I model. He ordered me an original cartridge for my '67.

Anywho when I looked at it on Saturday, the oil was low. I wonder if this was most of my problem? I change the oik anyway and the filter. Oil pressure was up tween 60-70. I took it for a long ride out to the show on Sunday and it was about 40 minutes at highway speed. The GT loved it. OP stayed high but leveled off after the oil had a chance to thin out. It's currently running at 168Âş and 55psi.

Could've been low oil - could've been filter....or both

I know everyone was knocking the Fram but... I made a post about the British are coming this morning. One of the cars there is a 1952 TD racer that this guy races all the time in the VCCA. He's running a Fram filter. Can they be all that bad if this guy is racing an antique that he really is not inclined to blow up?
After dicovering my oil was a tad low, I suspect that over the filter.
