Throttle Linkage

Greetings, I am in the middle stages of a Ground up BT7 restoration (year 3 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif). Im currently working on the throttle linkage. Nice thing is that the engine bay is empty and the car is elevated (plenty of room to work). My delima is that the entire linkage set-up is extremely pitted and rusted and replacement parts seen unobtainable. I did find a cable conversion set-up through Cape International but not sure how it integrates with the car (such as how it links to the throttle switch etc). My goal is not to be concours - more or a fun driver. Has anyone used the cable conversion? Or better yet, anyone know if a complete throttle linkage kit available?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Although i don't have the Cape Cable system fitted to my car, I do know several people who have. They report it is fairly straightforward to fit and gives a very smooth throttle response and non of the "jerky" response you can get with the standard setup, when it is not, shall we say in it's "first flush of youth". The conversion is fitted as standard on the Cape customer cars that they build from scratch.

Regards

Alan

Alan and Steve,
I am also in the middle of installing the Cape International cable linkage. I think I have things aligned properly, but I sure would like to see a few digital images of properly working set up on a LHD BT7. Alan, do your friends have any shots we could see. I am sure they would be helpful to me as well as Steve.
Thanks.

I just purchased the Cape set up for my 100-4 and Dad's 100-6. I would love to see pictures of these installed. I hear they are great, I just need to see them installed. My throttle linkages were original and very tired!
