I know, I know, I've asked this question before and got answers, sorry Hap, but I lost the Moss part number for the solid discs to replace the valved discs in the 72 HIF-4 carbs. HeII getting old and forgetful! I'm submitting an order to Moss tomorrow and want to include the solid discs. PJ

Don't discount Joe Curto as a supplier for the discs, Paul. Most stuff from him comes in a bag with "Genuine SU" on the outside... jus' sayin'

Thanks JP, much appreciated!

Thanks to you also Doc for the suggestion. Are you saying the discs Moss sells aren't genuine SU parts?

Not certain about the Moss bits, Paul. I don't think I've ever chanced carb parts from them.

Just attempting to minimize any frustration.

Thanks Doc! I believe I'll contact Joe and order a couple from him. Needless to say, I hold your suggestions in high esteem. I have to check the carbs to see if they have slotted plates, even though I don't think they do.PJ

While my experience may be of limited statistical value, the Moss rebuild parts for my TR3 carbs have worked just fine.
Bob

Throttle plates from Moss may well work fine, if they'd state them to be "Genuine SU" I might get 'em from them. But I know Curto will send the proper ones, no guessing.
