Boy didn't that stir up a hornets nest! Sure is hard to believe that an adult would be that stupid and reckless with other peoples lives. Could have caused a major catastrophe! What were the kids doing in the control tower in the first place. Sounds like supervision was at it's lowest.

I'm actually sympathetic to the father. First off, the pilots knew the child was going to be "on." The father had introduced him. After all, it's not like the father then went for coffee. He was standing behind his son saying "say this." Tempest in a teapot.

I agree JP. On top of it, the kids were ARTICULATE. Let it go. NO-one was in danger (but the controller... from over-reaction).

Another 1 for JP.
The pilot assoc is fine with it. It's the gov't whose got their pannies in a bunch

actually, CNN, FOX, MSNBC have got the gov't's knockers in a knot. would be even happier to adjust the attitude of the person who felt they had to post the tape and once again take something that should have been innocent, fun and memorable for the child and turn it into media and political fodder.

Isn't that what the media do best? Take a near non-event and then beat it to death. :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:
Fills the time between commercials, AND, they don't have go out and report real news. Can you say "Baloon Boy"?
