The increasing prices have a way of putting them back on the market.

Next month in Arizona, Bonhams is auctioning a 100S that has been in the same ownership for 50 years. I believe that the estimate is $500,000-700,000; lower than other recent sales due largely to the replacement engine, I suppose, but still a lot of moolah for an Austin-Healey.

Very cool! Any idea what's the device in the upper rad hose of the BJ8 (first listing)?
Looks to be just another point to pick up water temperature (in a later pic, that's "cut-off" you can almost make out__but not confirm__what looks like a capillary tube) possibly a later addition to run an auxiliary electric fan...?

In case you needed a "test drive" in a Works Big Healey.....
